Agreement Overview

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and Shield Max (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Agreement governs the installation and use of any software products developed and distributed by Shield Max, including but not limited to Shield Max Updater, Shield Max Cleaner, and related utilities.

By installing, accessing, or using any Shield Max software, you agree to the terms outlined in this Agreement.

1. Grant of License

Shield Max hereby grants you a limited, non-exclusive license for the software usage, strictly for personal and non-commercial purposes only.

• Device Limit: The number of computers on which you are allowed to use this license is specified in your purchase plan.
• Ownership: Shield Max’s software code and database were, are, and will remain our intellectual property. The license permits you to use the software, but doesn’t transfer the ownership rights.

2. Privacy & Data Security

There is certain information we require from our customers for accurate software updates.

• What We Collect: We get technical data like your PC brand, the OS version, and the hardware ID.
• What We Do Not Collect: Your personal files, pictures, emails, or internet history are not the things we go through, keep, or disclose. All we do is check your system’s hardware performance.

3. Usage Restrictions

For the protection of our service's integrity, you undertake to comply with certain restrictions. Among other things, you will not:

• Disassemble, decompile or attempt to derive source code.
• Rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or resell the software in whole or in part to third parties.
• Use the software for unlawful purposes or to bypass system security measures.

4. System Stability & Responsibility

• Shield Max develops multiple software products intended to support system performance, maintenance, and reliability. While our products are designed with structured safeguards and compatibility considerations, system environments may vary.
• Safety Measures: Certain products may recommend or support the use of Windows features such as System Restore or other built-in recovery tools prior to applying significant system changes.
• Disclaimer: All software is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While Shield Max makes reasonable efforts to ensure software stability and reliability, we are not responsible for data loss, system malfunction, or hardware issues resulting from unusual system configurations, third-party conflicts, or pre-existing system conditions.

5. Automatic Content Updates

Shield Max software may periodically check for and download updates, including software improvements, database updates, or feature enhancements. These updates may be installed automatically to ensure product functionality and compatibility.

By using the software, you consent to such updates as part of the product’s operation.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Some Shield Max products may be offered under subscription-based licensing models.

• License Term: The license is only valid as long as you have an active subscription.
• Automatic Renewal:Where applicable, subscriptions may automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled prior to renewal in accordance with the applicable terms provided at the time of purchase.
• Trial Periods: Certain products may offer trial access for a limited period. Trial limitations and duration will be specified at the time of activation.
• Users are responsible for managing their subscription preferences through their account settings or designated billing platform.

7. Limitation of Liability

Shield Max shall not be liable, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use or inability to use the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the license.

8. Termination

This license will remain in effect unless terminated. You can exit the agreement simply by uninstalling the software from your computer. In case of non-compliance, Shield Max has the right to terminate your license. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and uninstall all copies from your devices.

9. Third-Party Components

Some products may include third-party libraries or components. Such components are subject to their respective licenses.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shield Max is legally incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Payment Security

Shield Max does not store credit card information. Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with industry security standards. Shield Max is not responsible for the privacy practices of payment processors.

• Personal Use: The license is made for the users' own devices, and any kind of distribution is prohibited.
• Privacy: We only get your device's specs, not your personal data.
• Safety: The best way to be safe while updating is to rely on the "Restore Point" feature.
• Automation: We take care of software updates automatically so that your computer is always fast and secure.

11. Severability Clause

If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

13. Modifications to Agreement

Shield Max reserves the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the software constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
